IRS Circular 230 Disclosure

Any U.S. federal tax advice contained on this website (including any pages, blog posts, emails, or downloadable materials) is not intended or written to be used, and cannot be used, by any taxpayer for the purpose of:

Avoiding penalties that may be imposed under the Internal Revenue Code, or

Promoting, marketing, or recommending to another party any transaction or matter addressed herein.

Taxpayers should seek advice based on their particular circumstances from an independent tax advisor.

Use and Disclosure of Tax Return Information (IRC §7216)

We are prohibited by federal law (Internal Revenue Code §7216)from using or disclosing your tax return information for purposes other than preparing and filing your tax returns, unless:

You provide us with your informed, written consent, or Such use or disclosure is otherwise permitted by law.

If we propose to use your information for any additional services (for example, offering other products, sharing with a third-party provider, or using it for marketing purposes), we will first provide you with a separate written consent form that clearly explains the intended use. You are not required to sign any such consent in order for us to prepare your tax returns.

Multi-State and Cross-Border Practice

We provide tax preparation and advisory services relating to U.S. federal income tax and to state and local tax matters in multiple jurisdictions. However, the availability and scope of our services may vary by state or country based on licensing and regulatory requirements.

References on this website to clients in “all 50 states,” “nationwide, ”or  “worldwide” refer to the geographic location of our clients, not to the jurisdictions in which we are licensed as CPAs or attorneys.

Data Security and IRS Standards

We follow commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including practices consistent with IRS Publication 4557 (Safeguarding Taxpayer Data). We use secure portals and encryption where appropriate to transmit and store sensitive information.

However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure. By using email, web forms, or other electronic methods to communicate with us, you understand and accept that there is some risk of unauthorized access or disclosure outside of our control.

Scope of Representation (IRS, States, and Agencies)

As a CPA, Ermek Alishev may represent clients before the IRS and state tax authorities in connection with audits, notices, and examinations only if such representation is:

Covered by a separate engagement agreement, or Explicitly included in your service package/engagement letter.

Unless specifically stated in your engagement letter, our services do not automatically include representation before the IRS or any state agency in audits, appeals, collection matters, or other administrative proceedings.

Tax Court and Litigation

We do not provide legal representation in U.S. Tax Court, other courts, or in formal litigation proceedings. Nothing on this website should be construed as an offer to provide legal services or courtroom representation.

If your matter requires litigation or Tax Court representation, we will recommend that you consult with a qualified tax attorney admitted to practice before the relevant court.

Audit Support and Notice Response

Unless expressly included in your service package or engagement letter (for example, where a specific number of hours of notice response is listed), assistance with:

IRS or state notices, Audits or examinations, Correspondence audits, or Collection matters is not included in our standard tax preparation fee.

If you receive a notice or audit inquiry, we will discuss the scope of work and quote a separate fee (or confirm whether any included hours apply) before performing additional services.

Penalties, Interest, and Client Responsibilities

You are ultimately responsible for:

The accuracy and completeness of the information you provide to us, and Reviewing your tax returns before filing. Our work is based on the information you furnish. We are not responsible for any additional tax, penalties, or interest resulting from: Incomplete, inaccurate, or untimely information provided by you, Your failure to follow our recommendations, or Changes in tax law after the date advice is given. We cannot guarantee that your return will not be selected for examination, nor can we guarantee the outcome of any audit or inquiry.

Statute of Limitations and Record Retention

Tax authorities generally impose deadlines (“statutes of limitations”) for filing returns, claiming refunds, and challenging assessments. It is your responsibility to ensure that your returns are filed on time and that you respond promptly to any notices.

We recommend that you keep copies of your filed tax returns and supporting documents for at least the period required under applicable law (often 37 years, and longer for certain items such as basis records). While we may retain copies of your documents for a limited period, we do not guarantee long-term storage and are not responsible for maintaining your records indefinitely.
